The Stouffville Spirit of the Central Division of the OJHL are very proud to announce team captain Patrick McEachen has committed to an NCAA Division 1 scholarship at Clarkson University. Clarkson University is located in Potsdam, New York. Patrick will become the second Spirit player to dawn the Green & Gold and become a Golden Knight following in the footsteps of former Spirit player and cousin Mike Sullivan. The announcement caps off a great season for Patrick with the Spirit, leading the defence in ice time and scoring this season. He was named captain of the Spirit earlier this year at the age of 17. McEachen also played for Team East in the CJAHL Prospects game in Summerside, PEI  on December 17, 2008 and for the Central Division Team at the “Battle of Ontario Prospects” game in Pembroke, Ontario January 17, 2009 helping both teams to victory.
